Grandma's ring, but different
Redesigning jewelry is one of my absolute favorite things to do in the jewelry world. I enjoy the challenge of creating something unique, but the added challenge is incorporating existing stones into a new piece. The fixed measurements dictate a lot of what the design is capable of, but I love when it all falls into place. This redesign is using 5 of the 9 stones from a large cocktail ring and creating a quintessential simplistic style with a twist — often the emerald cut is seen oriented North-South but this bride-to-be is looking for a low-key style that she can eventually stack. She still has 4 awesome diamonds to use and we may incorporate them into a pair of earrings, or necklace, or both! I can’t wait!
